A dentist who remembers being scared
Dr. Bansal needed a lot of dental work as a child and was afraid of the dentist. She hasn't forgotten what that felt like. With children, we go slowly, explain things in words they understand, and let them see and touch the tools before we use them. A good first experience makes every visit after it easier.
When to bring your child in
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit when the first tooth appears, and no later than the first birthday. Early visits are short and gentle, and they're as much for parents as for kids: we'll talk about teething, bottles and sippy cups, thumb-sucking, and how to brush tiny teeth.
Care we provide for children
- Checkups and cleanings, with X-rays only when needed
- Fluoride varnish to strengthen developing enamel
- Sealants that protect the grooves of back teeth from cavities
- Tooth-colored fillings when a cavity does happen
- Advice on grinding, thumb-sucking and early bite problems
- Prompt care for knocked-out, chipped or painful teeth
Saturday appointments help
We're open Saturdays from 8 AM to 3 PM by appointment, so checkups don't have to mean missed school. Many parents book their own cleaning alongside their kids'.
